How Blogging Increases the Credibility of Your Website

You already have a terrific business.  Your expert knowledge and experience allow you to provide your clients with something special.  But how do you make sure that potential new clients find out about your business? And how do you keep your existing clients up-to-date with everything you have to offer?

Blogging is a tremendous opportunity to talk to clients about your business.  We can only say so much on our websites, and that information is generally static and not updated with each new product and service we devise to make our customers’ experience better.  A blog allows you to regularly update existing and potential patrons about news in your business.  Is a new version of a product out?  Did one sell out in record time?  Is a new service available?  A special deal? Have you just signed on a star recruit?  All of this is exciting news for your dedicated customers – consider the frenzy the media and the public go into when Apple releases a new product.  You have customers who are just as passionate about your product or service. And potential customers who are sitting on the fence – your knowledge and enthusiasm may just draw them out.

A blog also doesn't just have to be about what is happening in your business - it can also discuss new ideas and concepts in your field.

If you had a personal training business, your blog could look at a wide variety of related ideas such as:
  • Training methods, best times for training, different kinds of training for different results and so on
  • Healthy eating, different kinds of diets, diets for different purposes
  • Commentary on programs such as The Biggest Loser
  • Evaluate and review athletic gear
  • Look at positive motivation and the mental aspect of being fit and healthy

Blogs such as these show your customers that you eat, sleep and breathe your business.  If you can offer additional advice, correct false assumptions and open readers to new ideas, they will see how much more you have to offer than your competitors.

And the best news is – nobody expects you to do all of this writing yourself! Your staff can assist you, writing weekly entries focussing on their special skills and areas.  You can even hire a professional blogger such as myself to take care of this for you.  Many of us will also assist you to share and manage this content on social media.

Show everyone your authority in your field - create a blog on your website to keep clients engaged and informed.
